Tamagotchi, a handheld electronic pet, created by Akihiro Yokoi of WiZ and Aki Maita of Bandai in Japan which was very famous in 1990s. After nearly two decades, the Tamagotchi nostalgia is now being revived and takes a new name, Photogotchi, which will soon be available in smartphones.
The Photogotchi official website said that Photogotchis are relatives of the tamagotchis. Their diet is made ouf of 100% delicious pixels-feed them real life photos and they will grow larger and more colorful!”. The Tamagotchi-inspired digital creature is a free gaming app being developed by European digital agency CarnationGroup.
The main objective of the game is to earn points by taking as many photos as you want to feed your pet. Photogotchi starts off as an egg, cracks and then grows up.
So, all you need to do is to take a lot of photos or share those on different social networks. The more points you have, the bigger your creature will get.
It looks like it’s a child’s game but there is one advantage that it can bring to soon to be Photogotchi gamers – it will enhance their skills in capturing photos (in some ways).
